Anderson AM-10 Gen 2 Series AR-10 Rifles

The Anderson Manufacturing Gen 2 AM-10 series of rifles is based on the AR-10 platform. Chambered in .308 Winchester, there are three complete rifle builds ready to ship or the receivers may be purchased individually to complement a rifle build project. All components are compatible with the most popular AR-10 uppers, lowers, and aftermarket parts and accessories.

Three Initial AM-10 Gen 2 Models

The AM-10 Gen 2 line has launched with the following models:

AM-10 Battle Rifle

The Battle Rifle configuration features a 16-inch barrel, Magpul MOE adjustable stock, Magpul K2 grip, Mid Length Gas System, and an A2 birdcage flash hider. The Battle Rifle is ideal for general use and home defense.

AM-10 Ranger

The Ranger features an 18-inch barrel, Magpul MOE adjustable stock, Magpul K2 grip, two-stage trigger, Mid Length Gas System, and a Knight Stalker flash hider. The Ranger is a multi-purpose option for long-range and home defense roles.

AM-10 Marksman XL

The Marksman XL features a 20-inch barrel, Magpul PRS Light adjustable stock, Magpul K2 grip, two-stage trigger, Rifle Length Gas System, and a Knight Stalker flash hider. The Marksman XL is perfect for hunting, home defense, or long-range precision shooting.

Additional Features

Anderson says the “exceptionally accurate” AM-10 Gen 2 Series is engineered to meet the diverse needs of budget-conscious shooters. Each AM-10 rifle comes with a 15-inch Magpul M-LOK handguard, DPMS high standard upper rail height for maximum platform capability, and is compatible with all AR-15 grips. The enhanced mag well flare makes for easier, more reliable magazine insertions. Finally, the improved contouring and tolerances ensure better handling, performance, and accuracy for a better shooting experience.

More Rifles to Come

Anderson promises to extend the AM-10 Gen 2 Line in the future. This looks like a well-thought-out addition to the crowded modern sporting rifle market. Good quality modular options for shooters on a budget can only be a good thing, making the AR-10 platform more accessible.
